If you know us, you know we don’t chase trends. We chase your style, your story, and your version of what luxury feels like. That said, every year brings a wave of new inspiration. And when you’re in the business of building one-of-a-kind homes, you pay attention. Not to copy, but to lead.

So, here’s what we’re seeing (and building) and how it’s showing up in our custom homes across Dallas, Southlake, and Westlake.

  1. Mood Over Minimalism

For a while, minimalism had its moment. But our clients in 2025 want mood, texture, and warmth. We’re layering spaces with plaster walls, rich wood tones, and tactile finishes that beg to be touched. It's not about maximalism, it's about depth. A home that feels curated, not showroom-staged. Think of:

  • Smoked oak cabinetry paired with unlacquered brass

  • Oversized fireplaces with hand-troweled surround

  • Custom lighting that feels like sculpture

  1. Rooms That Know What Time It Is

We’re seeing a return to purposeful spaces where not everything needs to be “open concept.” We love this because it means your home works with your rhythms, not against them. Our clients are asking for:

  • Morning rooms drenched in natural light for coffee and calm

  • Sunset rooms with low-slung sofas and moody lighting

  • Secondary kitchens designed for entertaining or private chefs

  • Children’s wings and guest wings with their own vibe entirely

  1. Indoor-Outdoor Everything

This one isn’t new, but the way we’re doing it in 2025 is more refined, connected, and architectural. It’s not about blurring the lines but erasing them completely. Instead of just sliding doors, we’re integrating:

    • Courtyards framed by floor-to-ceiling glass

    • Pools that mirror interior finishes

    • Covered outdoor lounges with full AV, heat, and surround sound

    • Landscaping that feels like an extension of the living space, not an afterthought

  1. Private Wellness, Reimagined

Wellness rooms are no longer just a home gym and a yoga mat. Because luxury isn’t just what you can see; it’s how you feel in your space. Our clients are asking for:

    • Full recovery suites with cold plunges and red light therapy

    • Spa-style bathrooms with built-in steam showers and heated benches

    • Massage rooms, meditation pods, and quiet zones

    • Even mental wellness spaces—tech-free, scent-controlled, perfectly lit

  1. Design That Means Something

This is what we’re most excited about: homes with soul. We’re working with clients who want to incorporate elements that reflect their travels, their heritage, their art collections, or their love of craftsmanship. Some of our recent features:

    • Wood floors milled from trees on the family’s ranch

    • Tile mosaics inspired by European cathedrals

    • Reading nooks wrapped in vintage wallpaper sourced from an estate sale in Paris

    • Wine rooms carved out of original limestone beneath the home

Let’s Build the House That Makes You Say “This Is So Me”

2025 is your year. Let’s build a home that doesn’t check boxes, it creates its own. We’ll help you dream it, we’ll obsess over it, and then we’ll bring it to life with an unmatched level of detail and care.
